Boulder Hospitals Feel National Crunch
Ron Secrist
Breaking Ground
Ron Secrist, President of the Boulder Community Hospital Foundation (BCH)joined Boulder Tomorrows monthly breakfast February 15th to speak about the issues currently facing his organization. Joking early of changing hospital operations to fit better with stereotypical Boulder ideals of niche boutiques, Secrist later illustrated that some of these jokes were not so far fetched. More specifically, dealing with a recent abundance of hospitals in the area, BCH has decided to build an 11 million dollar state-of-the-art specialized cancer care center to be located at the current Foothills and Arapahoe location. The new facility which will be breaking ground next month is expected to be operational by early 2007. Through a kind and generous gift from Stephen and Shari Tebo (Boulder Tomorrow members), the facility will be known as the Tebo Family Medical Pavilion.
